FatPipe Networks has launched its next-generation multi-line WAN optimization and link redundancy solutions for Inmarsat FleetBroadband users and partners. FleetBroadband users can now dramatically increase the efficiency of their satellite network and gain better control of how it is used whilst adding a high level of redundancy and availability for Fault Tolerant Networks.
During Inmarsat tests, FatPipe Networks' WAN optimization resulted in an average bandwidth increase of 400% with peaks of over 1, 000%. Inmarsat partners will now be able to deploy FatPipe products to solve their customers' network and bandwidth congestion issues.
FatPipe's solutions for WANs, provide redundancy, back up and high availability by allowing you to utilize multiple satellite connections, and when available, landlines, 3G/4G and wireless. FatPipe's products work with multiple data and network connections, providing the bandwidth and redundancy needed for VOIP, video, VPN and other critical applications. All sessions are failed over from one line to another, when one of the lines goes down.

Latency Mitigation: FatPipe's TCP acceleration is based on multiple algorithms optimized for satellite environments which mitigate the effects of latency and channel quality. In addition to this, FatPipe uses a number of other techniques including https, FTP and DNS caching to overcome the high latency effects of satellite communications.
More Bandwidth: FatPipe's compression & multi line technology—including byte-level caching as well as web acceleration—maximises the effective bandwidth to provide an enhanced experience in responsiveness and achievable data exchanges. High WAN Transmission Security: Out patented MPSec™ (Multi-Path Security) technology, provides significantly more security of data transmission over dedicated or VPN connections. MPSec creates multiple, independent data pathways between two or more locations. MPSec directs traffic out on multiple lines by splitting the traffic, if a line fails the communication continues uninterrupted. This prevents data being transmitted from being compromised, and hence is suitable for very high security transmissions. In the event, a core router is compromised; the data transmission is still very secure.
