FatPipe Announces Federal Court Rejection of Validity Challenge to Its Patents

SALT LAKE CITY, UT--(Marketwired - November 16, 2015) - FatPipe is pleased to announce that a validity challenge to its patents has been rejected by a Utah federal court in FatPipe Networks, Ltd. v. XRoads Networks, Inc. In its ruling, the federal court denied XRoads' motion for summary judgment of invalidity of FatPipe's patents. After the court's decision -- and while FatPipe's appeal on other issues was pending -- the parties reached a settlement. The terms of that settlement agreement are confidential.

FatPipe has become aware of a press release issued by XRoads that omits reference to the denial of its validity challenge and contains the vague and perplexing statement that the court had "affirmed the functionality of XRoads Networks" technology. Contrary to the implications of XRoads' press release, the court did not endorse XRoads' products or make any decisions regarding the quality of XRoads' technology.

FatPipe is pleased to move on from the XRoads litigation, but it will continue to protect its intellectual property rights and patent portfolio when appropriate. FatPipe looks forward to continuing to provide excellent products and service to its many valued customers.
