ORLANDO, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 29, 2001--FatPipe® Networks, the creator of router clustering technology that provides redundancy, reliability, and high-speed Internet/WAN access for the deployment of mission critical Web-based business applications, announced new features to support Citrix® MetaFrame® servers in preventing WAN downtime.
FatPipe's WARP products were successfully tested for compatibility with Citrix MetaFrame server software. They provide high levels of redundancy, reliability and speed for Internet/IP access by bonding connections seamlessly over multiple ISP and backbones.
Additional features include advanced management tools and efficient dynamic load balancing of IP traffic over multiple connections, including T3, T1, E1, E3, DSL, ISDN, and wireless.
``As Citrix products are used in larger and larger enterprise deployments, the ability to continue operations with minimal disruption due to system downtime is becoming more important. We see growing customer interest in solutions that enhance redundancy and reliability of their WANs, helping them to continue conducting business when failures occur,'' said Larry Ritter, director and general manager, client-server products, Citrix Systems.
FatPipe Networks has been a Premier member of the Citrix Business Alliance(TM) (CBA) since October 2000. FatPipe forged the alliance with Citrix because of its unique ability to enhance the reliability and speed of WANs specifically for customers who have implemented the server-based computing model.
``Citrix is the clear leader in server-based computing, and FatPipe has developed the best products to support Citrix customers at their own sites, avoiding expensive WAN downtime,'' said Ragula Bhaskar, Ph.D., president and CEO of FatPipe Networks.
``Our products fit hand in glove with Citrix MetaFrame, providing a complete solution for companies that require redundancy and reliability for their wide area networks for the deployment of mission critical Web-based business applications using Citrix server software.''
FatPipe WARP and other FatPipe products use patented and patent-pending technologies that are technology, router, provider and application independent. FatPipe products sit transparently in a network, for seamless and easy integration.
FatPipe's patented Redundant Array of Independent Lines (RAIL(TM)) and SmartDNS(TM) technologies are featured in WARP products, for up to three times the redundancy of bi-directional IP traffic over a private or public wide area network.
