SALT LAKE CITY--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 9, 2001-- FatPipe® Networks, the inventor of router clustering devices for reliable, redundant and fast Internet/WAN connections, Tuesday announced that it has successfully secured a second patent for its router clustering technology.
The patent covers the principal technology incorporated in all of FatPipe's single-ended solution products, including FatPipe XTREME and FatPipe WARP.
Sanchaita Datta, chief technology officer, and Ragula Bhaskar, Ph.D., chief executive officer, are the inventors of FatPipe's unique technology which unilaterally combines multiple connections of any speed at the customer end for highly redundant, reliable and fast Internet access.
FatPipe's WARP and XTREME devices increase bandwidth by aggregating any combination of T3, T1, wireless, DSL, or ISDN connections for speed. WARP and XTREME incorporate the recently patented technology that provides redundancy and reliability.
``This patent and our prior patent for Multi-Path VPN solution, including our MPsec security featured in FatPipe's MPVPN technology, gives us an advantageous intellectual property position in mission critical Internet/WAN access for all of our products,'' said Datta. ``Our patented and patent pending technology establishes our leadership in the marketplace.''
FatPipe was granted another patent in March 2001, on technology that provides redundancy and security for inbound and outbound IP traffic, including FatPipe's Multi-Path Security technology (MPsec(TM)), which are featured in MPVPN devices.
MPSec splits a data stream at the packet level and randomly sends the packets over multiple connections of a Virtual Private Network, ensuring the world's highest possible security, reliability and redundancy of VPN and other WAN infrastructures.
