Moreton Bay and Ragula Systems Dual Up to Offer a Faster Web Access Solution to Small Businesses; Special Bundled RAS Solution Offers Up to Four Times Faster Internet Access
Monterey, Calif.: Jul 06, 1999 (Business Wire) - Moreton Bay, a leading developer of innovative remote access solutions for small to medium size businesses has partnered with Ragula Systems, makers of FatPipe Software, to offer a bundled RAS solution that produces higher-speed and more cost-effective Internet Access for businesses. Moreton Bay's renowned RAStel 4002, provides 4 internal 56K modems while FatPipe Internet Office combines the four lines into a single secure, high-speed connection to the Internet for Web browsing, FTP site downloads, and email over the entire LAN.
The bundling of these products is designed to offer both Moreton Bay and FatPipe resellers risk free access to new RAS products. An evaluation offer of this duo will be offered to resellers of both companies for a limited time.
By combining Moreton Bay's multi-modem RAStel with FatPipe Internet Office software, Internet access is speeded up, freeing up phone lines and streamlining systems. This results in lowering Internet costs by as much as fifty percent. "We are pleased to be co-marketing with Ragula systems and see this joint venture as a unique way to offer our resellers a RAS solution that far exceeds the typical small business solutions today," said Bob Waldie president and chief executive officer of Moreton Bay.
"FatPipe Internet Office enhances the performance benefits and cost savings already offered by our RAStel product line," Waldie stated; RAStel and FatPipe Internet Office work in any Windows or Windows NT environment, while providing full security and redundancy for failsafe connections. FatPipe Internet Office comes complete with an Access Manager, which allows administrators to limit Internet access on an individual basis and assigns access rights to specified individuals.
Network address translation (NAT) provides firewall security against outside invaders. For redundancy, software can be configured to automatically reroute information to an available modem line. The combination is so simple to use it can be installed within minutes. The RAStel 4002 offers four internal V.90 compliant 56Kbps modems on a single internal PCI card. The RAStel multi-modem solution is compatible with most major operating systems and is available in two, four and eight modem models.
"Moreton Bay, a major international player in the small to medium business RAS marketplace provides a perfect solutions partner for FatPipe," said Ragula Bhaskar, president and chief executive officer of FatPipe Software. "Our software combined with Moreton Bay's hardware provides a fast, cost-effective remote access solution for small businesses today," he stated.
