FatPipe Networks Successfully Secures Monies to Complete Second Round of Funding
Wasatch Venture Fund, The Canopy Group and EnCompass Ventures Join Timothy Draper and Others in Second Round of Funding for Internet Access Software Company
Salt Lake City, Utah: Jun 06, 2000 - Ragula Systems, Inc., dba FatPipe® Networks, a leading provider of mission critical Internet access software, announced the completion of its second round of venture capital funding. The investments, amounting to 8.1 million, will provide for the continued growth of the Salt Lake City based company. Venture investors include Timothy Draper of Draper Fisher Jurvetson (DFJ), EnCompass Ventures, Wasatch Ventures, Kling Jelko and Dr. Dehmel, and Odyssey Ventures, led by Shigeru Masuda. Other venture capitalists include the Canopy Group, ComVest Capital, Odyssey Capital Partners, Lakefield Ventures, Steele FatPipe Partners, and individuals from Lehman Brothers and Bear Stearns.

FatPipe’s latest product, XTREME, is an appliance which aggregates any combination of multiple T1, Wireless, DSL and/or ISDN connections over multiple ISP’s and backbones, to provide up to three times the reliability, redundancy and speed of a company’s current Internet connection. FatPipe’s SOHO product, Internet Accelerator, combines from 2 to 4 analog and/or digital lines resulting in high speed Internet access (112K-224K) to be shared over a LAN. FatPipe recently released its DSL/Cable edition, which allows for secure sharing of Internet connections over a LAN using a single DSL connection.
