FatPipe Networks Announces Weil Group as a Premier Distributor in Puerto Rico

Alliance Established To Provide A Flexible Internet Access Solution for Mission Critical Applications.

Salt Lake City, Utah: Jun 20, 2000 - FatPipe® Networks, a leading provider of missioncritical Internet access products, appointed Weil Group as a premier distributor in Puerto Rico. The Weil Group specializes in the management of intergrated information technology services.

Fatpipe and Weil Group are working in partnership to offer a solution to the common obstacles companies face when optimizing their communication systems: unstable Internet connections and lack of Wide Area Network (WAN) redundancy. FatPipe’s patent pending technology, Redundant Array of Inexpensive Lines (RAIL), is designed to specifically address the issue of redundancy and reliability.

“Weil Group’s commitment to quality service is consistent with FatPipe’s philosophy to provide superior customer support, products and technology to clients,” says Dr. Ragula Bhaskar, president and CEO of FatPipe Networks. “We are looking forward to working together to address the needs of companies in Puerto Rico who need a high speed Internet access solution that is reliable and redundant.”

Through research, FatPipe found that many companies in Puerto Rico have an existing backup line lying dormant just in case their Internet connection goes down. FatPipe’s flagship product, XTREME, aggregates up to three routers to create, in effect, a singular “fatpipe” to the Internet. T1, DSL, wireless and/or ISDN connections can be combined. XTREME also works seamlessly over different backbones and ISPs to create a dependable redundant and reliable environment. Companies can use their exiting technology, connecting their backup line with their primary connection to the Internet, for a complete high-speed and backup solution.

“Our primary objective is to become the first choice for network management services in Puerto Rico by providing excellent customer service, which includes offering innovative products and solutions to our customers. FatPipe XTREME brings unique added value to our customers, and is a prime example of the kinds of products we want to promote in Puerto Rico,” comments Phillip Weil, president of the Weil Group. “Small, medium size and branch offices who utilize VPNs, Intranets, e-commerce, and wireless connections would benefit most from the combined services of our groups.”
