FatPipe Networks' CEO Attracts Large Turnout of UITA Members to Discuss the Subject of Broadband
Salt Lake City, UT: February 22, 2001 - FatPipe Networks' President and Chief Executive Officer, Ragula Bhaskar, Ph.D., addressed an audience of 170 members of the Utah Information Technology Association (UITA) to discuss the subject of the future of Broadband. The turnout was one of the best-attended UITA events ever, according to Brandon Fabrizo, Events Planner for UITA.
Titled, Broadband's Homestrech: The Perils and Promise of the Last Mile, Dr. Bhaskar's speech focused primarily on how advancements in the broadband industry will impact the business community within the United States. Included in his discussion were topics such as a brief chronology of the history of broadband, the future of wireless broadband, the future of DSL and Cable, and the dynamics of the so called last mile.
Dr. Bhaskar was well received by the UITA members. "We found his presentation concise and informative. We came away with a much greater understanding of the broadband market, and feel we can apply the information we learned to help us make decisions about our involvement in the market in the future," said Peter Balderree, Sales Engineer of Center Beam. "I only wish we had more time to discuss the topic, " concluded Balderree. Copies of the presentation can be obtained by contacting FatPipe Networks.
