Special Offer - 40% off QoS Feature Add-On

Your customers can now purchase the FatPipe add-on QoS version 5.0.2 at a promotional 40% off MSRP when they upgrade their existing units to 5.0.2. This offer is currently valid until December 21, 2007. Please contact your FatPipe Account Manager for more details on this program .

Technology Highlight - QoS

FatPipe QoS 5.0.2 Is better than ever - Now with Application Layer QoS

  • FatPipe Quality of Service (QoS) is a WAN traffic management feature add-on that provides administrators the tools they need to define and prioritize data traffic flow.
  • Adding FatPipe QoS to your router-clustering device can help you optimize the efficiency of your network by eliminating data transmission congestion and allow you to prioritize data flow up to eight levels.
  • FatPipe's new QoS technology now includes application layer QoS (layer 7) in addition to the networking layer QoS, where you can assign bandwidth by IP or port (layers 3 and 4).
    • Application level QoS gives you the ability to create rules that guarantee bandwidth based on application, such as Citrix, over other applications
    • Application level QoS also allows you to restrict bandwidth to peer-to-peer applications such as, BitTorrent, a file sharing application, or Skype, a VoIP application

FatPipe Announces BLAZE End of Life

FatPipe will no longer support BLAZE units due to the release of Version 5.0. All your existing BLAZE customers with a current support contract are eligible for a 1U 10Mbps WARP at $3,000 (MSRP $9,000). If you have customers with expired support contracts, they must first purchase a regular 1U support contract to be eligible for the replacement unit price.

This offer is currently valid until December 31, 2007. Please contact your FatPipe Account Manager for more details on this program.

Replacement Units

Your FatPipe customers can now upgrade existing FatPipe hardware to our latest hardware. They can upgrade their 1U units for $3,000 per unit (MSRP $9,000) and their 4U units for $4,000 per unit (MSRP $14,500). FatPipe is offering this at a significantly reduced price so that your customers' total cost of ownership remains low. This offer is currently valid until December 21, 2007.

Why should your customers replace/update their FatPipe Units?

    1. Customers who want to enjoy the enhanced performance and new features of the 5.0 product releases will require a hardware update or unit replacement. See above for a description of new Release 5.0 features and enhancements.
    2. Units shipped before February 2006 need to be replaced because the hardware in these units is incompatible with the new FatPipe 5.0 platform.
    3. Customers who purchased units on or after February 2006 require an upgraded flash card replacement because the OS and the file system of 5.0 have changed from the previous systems. Customers with Platinum service agreements will receive free flash cards as part of their service contract. Customers with Gold service agreements and having units less than a year old will also receive a free flash card upgrade. For customers that fall outside of these date ranges, please call your FatPipe account manager for more details.
    4. Existing customers should be informed that the End of Life for all hardware is three years from the date of purchase.

Note: If the customer is not under a Support contract, they must agree to buy Support at the same time they buy the replacement unit. Their current unit must be returned in 30 days of receiving their new unit otherwise the full price of the FatPipe unit will be charged. A new hardware warranty starts with shipment of the new unit.

Please contact your FatPipe Account Manager for more details on this program.
